How beautiful and how devastating. On Friday we marched with schoolchildren who have grasped (not from their mainstream education, political leaders or our media) that we are in a race for our lives, and we are losing. as António Guterres, secretary general of the United Nations says, the window of opportunity is closing – we no longer have the luxury of time, and climate delay is almost as dangerous as climate denial.
We know too much and will not stand by as politicians and corporations play foolish games with the wellbeing of all Life on Earth for short term profit, a growth economy and political dominance. It’s pathetic, pathological and deeply ignorant.
Despite years of talk, global emissions are reaching record levels and show no sign of peaking. The concentration of carbon dioxide in our atmosphere is the highest it has been in 3m years. The last four years were the four hottest on record, and winter temperatures in the Arctic have risen by 3-4°C in the last 50 years. Sea levels are rising, coral reefs are dying and we are starting to see the life-threatening impact of climate change on health, through air pollution, heatwaves and risks to food security.
We have no time left. All the solutions are out there. We need to change and shift our priorities. The people must come together to deconstruct prevailing systems that are not working for people or planet and then co-create harmonious life within and without.

If you are able to and you care about your future and the future wellbeing of fellow species and all their children then join the Student strike today to show the government where our priorities lie and that we will do whatever it takes to protect the one thing WE HAVE IN COMMON, our Earth. What we are experiencing at this time on Earth is a crisis of relationship. We need a conscious revolution in the way we relate to ourselves, each other and the earth. We need to evolve the way we interpret our place and purpose within this animate world. Not because it is “nice” or offers us a more dewy-eyed and naive means of seeing reality but because it is the rational and timely thing to do and the only way we can deeply confront the interconnected crises of environmental degradation and mental health.
🌿 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The Shifting Consciousness Series invites wisdom keepers to remind us that we are relational beings, that the the universe is relational at its core, that we can heal ourselves and transform our way of life from one of destruction and disconnection to one of co-creation, celebration and harmony.

Perhaps today, in the UK at least, it’s not so much about women not “receiving enough” from society, more than society not knowing how to receive women, in their totality, in their sacred and divine nature. Don’t get me wrong, we do not do this for men either. But we do revere and try to emulate supposed characteristics of what it is to be MAN, which is breaking all our hearts and severing our relationship with ourselves, each other and the Earth. How do we come to understand the feminine and masculine principle, that is within all of us? How can we transcend what Pat McCabe would describe as the “power over paradigm” that sets us apart and in competition with each other, that prevents us from really knowing what it is to be “feminine” or “masculine”?
Today I pray for the feminine principle to keep rising after centuries of global oppression. For women to support and hold each other in strength, solidarity and compassion. Because it’s not just women that need freedom, we all need to be freed from the dualistic constraints we imprison ourselves in and which culminate in the degradation of our environment.

NEXT WEEKEND ✨ Held in collaboration with wisdom keeper Pat McCabe (Woman Stands Shining, Diné/Navajo), this immersion into Ways of Being brings shared ancestral knowledge and practice to the enchanted space of The Quadrangle (40 mins from central London).
Over the weekend Pat will speak about the revitalisation of the Sacred Masculine and Sacred Feminine within the Science of Right Relations - an indigenous framework of Thriving Life. Together we will remember the "Hoop of Life" and our place within Creation to restore the balance and rediscover our sense of belonging. Within this framework Pat will touch upon the sacred gift of consent both in relationships pertaining to sexuality and in the wider societal context.

A deep immersion and gathering designed to nourish our relationship with our selves, with each other, and with the Earth, and a hands-on, real-life exploration of what it means to live and walk in harmony, balance, and beauty. This experience is for people who are committed to using the teachings and practices shared in service of the Earth and humanity at this critical time.

Places available from £160. Message me for details or to reserve a space ✨

photo_library “I know when I’m doing” 🤔 hmmm do ya? Considering the UN climate report 2018 gives us 12 years to cut emissions by 50% to avoid catastrophe and we’re heading for a 4 degree increase, that by 2048 there will be no fish left in our oceans at the current rate of over-fishing and pollution, that 10% of the world's population will be climate refugees by 2050 (with rising sea levels and crop failure), that just 100 companies are responsible for over 70% of the greenhouse gas emissions on the planet AND that 200 species go extinct every day, 1000 times the natural rate, Im not totally convinced that you do KNOW what you’re doing. What I do believe is that these kids KNOW. Not only do they know but they are taking action and calling the government on their shit.
And so they should because for years, American democracy has been gripped by a conspiracy to undermine and deny the scientific truth of climate change. Fossil fuel corporations like ExxonMobil and Koch Industries have waged a decades-long campaign to mislead the public about the environmental costs of their business activities and co-opt the rightwing governing party. This week, senior White House officials told the Washington Post that the administration is forming a climate panel headed by William Happer, a physicist who once compared critical assessments of CO2 emissions to the “demonization of the poor Jews under Hitler”.
This criminal behaviour is happening GLOBALLY. Not just america. We all need to call the powers that be on their shit. @guardian @ukscn

Stuff like this sometimes makes me think what’s the point. Why bother trying to reduce my plastic use, consumerism and negative impact on our environment. It’s overwhelming when you walk around a shop and you see the insane amount of waste, packaging, toxic materials and products from animal cruelty. Or go into a place like Westfields and see what is essentially landfill. It’s intensely emotional.
However, then I remember that every piece of plastic I refuse I stop being part of the problem, I imagine the fish, seal, manta ray or whale whose day and home might be a little nicer and cleaner without my polystyrene banana tray. Such thoughts make me feel happy and connected to sea creatures in that my actions impact them - it’s actually really cool.
I have a looooong way to go to firmly establishing in my consciousness an inner aversion to that which is unnecessarily damaging the one thing we all have in common, our planet, but rather than getting overwhelmed or feeling insignificant I’m on a journey to empowering myself through understanding that I have a choice as to whether I stand in solidarity with Life or not. I mess up all the time. But rather than feeling guilty until I numb myself/avert my eyes I am trying to channel that energy into increasing my awareness, so next time I will remember that I just really do not need that plastic punnet of tomatoes...
