photo_library Valerie looks out from the broken window from the gypsy trailer that was her home, the wooden trailer is one of the few things standing in the area after the fires, most of the homes around it burnt, during the woolsey fire Malibu, CA.
Valerie has worked as a dog walker in the area for years, she now does not have a permanent home and many of her clients homes burnt so they no longer live in the area. 
Climate change is affecting people lives directly economically; their business and livelihood are being destroyed overnight - it is the stark reality that we are living with climate change now, and these are the effects.

1- Valerie looking out the broken window of her trailer, that was her home.
2- Her dog Teddy on the empty lot where there used to be home and Valerie's neighbours , with a burn out house in the background.

photo_library Today the Grand Canyon turns a 100 years old as a National Park. This amazing canyon that the Colorado has carved a winding path in to, with it’s stunning  natural beauty as it heads south to the sea of Cortez( thou never making it, as all its water has been diverted for agriculture and urban water use).
The canyon is home to the Harasupi, Hopi, Hualapai and Navajo nation. Let’s make sure the native nations keep the right’s to there land and protecting this special  place- 1- looking over the Navajo bridge north over the Colorado river.
2. Looking up at the very beginning of the Grand Canyon- 3. Arredondo his wife, Cleivi,  and their three daughters — had fled to the US after their son, Marco, 17, was shot and killed by suspected gang members outside his grandmother's house near Guatemala City.

Then, the family was separated again. After more than 90 days in detention, Arredondo failed his asylum interview and he was deported. Just weeks earlier, former attorney general Jeff Sessions said that gang violence was not a reason to claim asylum, though a federal court struck that down later in the year.

Arredondo case highlights the arbitrary nature of the immigration system — two parents told the same story of their son's murder, but only one passed their asylum interview — and the impact that the Trump administration’s burdensome policies have had on migrant families.#familysstaytogether #familyseparation #photojournalism #home #humanrights #family #america
